Tokmok College was founded in 1938 as the Technical School of “Mechanization
of Agriculture”.
At the beginning of the educational institution, the student body
was about 100 people. The educational and material base consisted of seven classrooms, a primitive dormitory, several training tractors and agricultural machinery. By the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, the first group of specialists – mechanics – was trained.
            The technical school received further development after the end of the Great Patriotic War. In 1946, the “Electrification
of Agriculture” department was opened and our educational institution became known as the Technical School of
Mechanization and Electrification of Agriculture.

       Currently, the KNAU TC offers training in the following educational
programs:
140613 “Technical operation and maintenance of electrical and
electromechanical equipment (by industry)”,
190503 “Operation of transport electrical equipment and automation (by
types of transport except water)”,
110302 “Electrification and automation of agriculture” (full-time,
correspondence),
080106 “Finance” (by industry).

           Currently, the technical school is called Tokmok College of the Kyrgyz
National Agrarian University named after K.I. Skryabin (Order No. 96/1 dated 03.02.2021
of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic)

         The infrastructure of TK KNAU is located on the territory of the city of Tokmok. There is a technical passport. The total area of the premises is 960 seats (total
area – 5339.2 m2, useful area – 3426.3 m2), educational and production
workshop – 2700 m2, laboratory of agricultural machinery – 4121 m2 Material and technical base 7, a sports hall, a sports stadium (complex), a club for 200 seats, a methodological office, a hostel for 900 places.

       The library and information base of the college includes educational and methodological materials, textbooks, teaching and methodological kits, etc. The college has a library with a rich book fund. The total number of books is 87325. Of these, about 20% were published since 2000. The provision of educational literature is 70%
Electronic library.

          TC KNAU carries out the educational process on the basis of documents regulating
all aspects of educational activities – the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Education”, the Charter of the TC,
state educational standards of secondary vocational
education, the Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic and the college, the schedule of the educational process, other
regulatory and legal documents.
         The organization and implementation of the educational process are carried out on the basis of
decisions of the methodological and pedagogical Council.
The Board of Trustees of the TC KNAU together with the staff determines the strategy for the development of the college and contributes to the improvement of the material and technical base.
Tokmok College of KNAU named after K.I. Scriabin since 2018 entered the 3rd project of ADB
(Asian Development Bank) on three educational programs;

reconstructed into an educational building and the UPC (educational and production complex)

          In total, during the existence of the college, 20 thousand specialists for the Republic’s agriculture were trained and graduated. A great contribution to the history of the educational institution was made by its directors, who worked in different years: Ponomarev since 1938, V.I. Sumbulov since 1947, H.K. Bulashov since 1951, V.M. Savchuk since 1965, E.I. Baymbetov since 1969, P.M. Trosman since 1970, Yu.R. Akhmedov 1989, Yu.Sh. Dzhushanlo since 1991, D.A. Borgulov since 2011, E.A. Abdrakhmanov since 2014.

         Many of our graduates have become good specialists and production organizers, managers and scientists. Among them are the Director of Technical Sciences M. Penkin, Professor E. Arabayeva, who have worked and are working for the government and various state bodies for different years: B. Silaev, M. Kurmankozhoev, U. Usubaliev B. Dzharkinbaev, Ya. Akhmedov, K. Ismailov.

           For success in work, the technical school was awarded the Challenge Red Banner, the Certificate of Honor of the Republic, and many certificates from industry departments.

          Today, our college is an educational institution that trains specialists for the Republic, people who are competitive and in demand in the labor market.

           In 2018, the college entered the third project of the Asian Development Bank under the program

According to this project, the college underwent major repairs and reconstruction of dormitory No. 4 into an educational building and a laboratory of agricultural machinery in the Educational and Industrial Complex (UPC). The educational building was equipped with modern scientific and office equipment and stands for electricians and auto electricians, as well as a service station for car repair.

         At the end of the project in 2024, the college received the status of “Center of Excellence”. This status gives the college the right to disseminate the knowledge and skills obtained in the project among other educational institutions of the Chui region.
